The Family Health Hub began in 2018 at the same location and later joined forces with the well-known Osteopathy Clinic, Spine Plus, which has locations in Hornchurch, Chigwell, and Woodford. In September 2025, we merged to create Spine Plus Wellness Hub, which is now the flagship clinic of the entire Spine Plus network.
Our team of passionate and dedicated health professionals specializes in spinal health and is proud to serve the Gidea Park area in Essex. Redefining treatment for back pain, neck pain and other musculoskeletal disorders. Our ethos is reflected within at all of our clinics, with therapists who are able to offer expert multi-disciplinary physical therapy for spinal disorders, “plus” other musculoskeletal conditions.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a way of identifying, preventing, and treating health problems by moving, stretching, aligning and adjusting a person’s muscles and joints to reduce pain and gain freedom of movement. In some cases, Osteopathy combined with Medical Acupuncture would be recommended to achieve the best results.
Medical Acupuncture
Acupuncture is commonly used to treat pain, injury and restriction within the body. It has shown to produce great results in general well-being to manage stress and everyday lifestyle pressures, including and not limited to reducing and eliminating symptoms from chronic tension headaches and migraines.
IDD
IDD Therapy is the leading non-surgical spinal decompression treatment, that uses precise angles, and computer controlled, patented oscillatory decompression (traction) forces to target specific segments of the spine in order to alleviate pressure on compressed discs & trapped nerves to promote natural healing and pain relief. With it’s patented Oscillation feature, “IDD Therapy” is the gold standard.
Shockwave therapy
Using compressed air to create “shockwaves”, the therapy promotes the remodelling of scar tissue and calcified tissue, the formation of new blood vessels and collagen, as well significantly reducing pain (and “neurogenic inflammation”) from nerve endings. It is effective for people suffering persistent pain conditions such as tennis/golfers elbow, shoulder, patellar, achilles tendonitis, heel pain (plantar fasciitis, heel spur), and scar tissue.
Tecar
It is therapeutic radio-frequency electromagnetic current (RFEC) through the target tissues. This speeds up the transportation of ionic substances. It creates movement (rotation / oscillation) of compounds, especially water, sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride molecules thereby creating a therapeutic DEEP heating effect. This increased blood flow and drainage, increases metabolic activity and positively influences cells involved the healing / inflammatory response and changes in peripheral nerve conduction.
Massage
We offer Swedish, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, sports, myofascial release massage, c-section massage to help with mobility, swelling, sleep for mind and body. You will be recommended massage therapy separately at some point within your Osteopathy and Spinal Care plan. It can be booked as a one-off for new patients or brought as a voucher. We offer 60 or 90 minute options. Please note, we do provide relaxing therapeutic massage but please keep in mind there is some background noise due to being a busy clinic.
Podiatry
Podiatry treatment is the study, diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of disorders and discomfort of the foot, ankle, and lower extremities. Including and not limited to skin & nail diagnosis and treatment, routine care for diabetes and high risk patients. As well a Foot Scanning and 3D Orthotic service.
Intolerance Testing
Our food intolerance test is the most accurate one on the market, we use blood to test for 270+ different foods and drinks, to discover the root cause of stubborn symptoms.
